"If I'm an advocate for anything, it's to move. As far as you can, as much as you can. Across the ocean, or simply across the river. The extent to which you can walk in someone else's shoes or at least eat their food, it's a plus for everybody. Open your mind, get up off the couch, move." --- Anthony Bourdain

May/June, 2017 - Monterey, Pacific Grove, Carmel, and Big Sur, CA; Bandon, OR.

Monterey has always been special to us. My wife and I first met in Monterey, then I was fortunate to be stationed there for one of my Navy tours.
My mother-in-law's husband had family ties to Bandon, Oregon, and they visited Bandon several times. She fell in love with the small town and still enjoys visiting as often as possible.
After my wife and I spent a week in Monterey celebrating our anniversary, we picked up my mother-in-law in Sacramento and took her with us through Northern California and the redwoods, along the Oregon coast, and to Bandon.
